2-3 teams won't get a pick and we have the worst odds of getting a pick. It is more likely than not that we will not get a pick. Yes it is possible we will still get a pick like the Cardinals did in 2014, and we did in 2013 but chances are we will not. I laid out all the facts for you. You are welcome.

We don't really know the exact percentage odds for each team, though there are a few numbers out there from previous years. If the team with the best chance at 17% gets the first selection, and then are removed from the pool, how are those odds reallocated?

I never said other teams were not under similar restraints. The point was the changes in the draft have limited teams' ability to draft "bonus babies".

Additionally, the O's are drafting late in the first round they have a smaller pool relative to the number of picks they posses then do other teams. The Red Sox might be 22nd in pool money but they also only have two picks in the first 100 (7, 81).

Right. Everyone is restricted in the same/similar ways. Having more money is always better, though. We were 30th last year since we gave up 3 picks.

Considering how well they've drafted the last few years, I'm excited to see what they can do with 4 top 75 picks, and over 350% more money than they had last year.

I think this years draft and next year's draft (where we should also have a ton of picks in the top 120), will define our franchise for the next 5 years. Our ability to draft and develop is really going to be huge as we rebuild what we all think will be a mass exodus next season.
