The title of the article and the tone of his perception of the division is less than flattering, but Madden's assessment of the Orioles seems fair to me.

7 and-a-Half Weeks Later:

At 23-26 overall, the Orioles are not necessarily the least-flawed team in the division, but at the moment, ALL FIVE of the teams in the division are indeed flawed.

Madden appears to have been onto something, although with 4-plus months still left to play in the season, a lot can (and probably will) change.
