They don't embrace their Canadian heritage. Nor Dan Duquette.

Regardless of what they embrace, it is the same franchise.

The Nationals also hang a World Series flag in their stadium from the 1924 World Series. But that was the Senators, not the Nationals.

Just because they hang a flag does not make it their franchise, and just because they choose to ignore their roots, does not mean that they are an expansion franchise that began in Washington.
