Meh. He has as many walks as strikeouts since the ASB. And his power is still there. And still has an OPS over .800. He's just been really unlucky. The good thing is even he's so much less vulnerable to slumps this season with his vastly improved plate discipline and power.

I just hope it's not a mental thing. For instance, knowing you're batting third when that power is expected of you. It looked to me a bit like he was over-swinging last night trying to kill the ball.

The mental thing doesn't exist in baseball, just ask the Church of Sabermetrics

In all seriousness you're probably on to something. Manny was hitting really well for a while and slumps happen. Ideally next year the Orioles will have someone more suitable to hit leadoff.
