It isn't that.

They just are not that good is all.

At least the starters.

Bad pitch selection. Forsythe looked at a 97 mph FB on the outside corner and then Joseph calls for a splitter. Gausman hasn't had good command or sink of that pitch today and it's a better pitch to LHB. The FB he has had command of and he's been getting swings and misses.

I wish our pitchers would shake off the catchers more. The first run is also on Joseph, WP but Wieters blocks that pitch easily.

I'd rather have two catchers who know what to call then 15 pitchers willing to shake them off.
