wildcard
With spring training a little over a month away the off season should be chugging to an end, but almost one third of the top free agents are still on the market looking for jobs. Upton, Davis, Cespedes, Desmond, Fowler, Kennedy, Gallardo, Kendrick, Freeze, Jackson, Clippard, Latos, Fister, Bastardo, Pearce and Morneau are still unsigned. That doesn't count familiar names like Pedro Alvarez, Buehrle, Rollins, Rios, Bryd, David Murphy, etc...... The rest of January and some of February will remain busy as these players find clubs. And the O's are going to be right in the middle of it all. If the O's have a 130m budget, they have 19m yet to spend. With backload of contracts and deferrals Dan will stretch that money as far as it can go.
25 Nuggets
It is late, and the market is shaping up well for the Orioles particularly because so many position players are still available. They can sign one big bat, one cheap bat and one cheap starting pitcher, or make a trade or move a contract around... but I think there will still be three new names on the 25 man roster. canonfaz
The problem is that the starting pitching is not that good at this point. Maybe sign Latos and Fister and hope one of them is good?
Bahama O's Fan
Or maybe sign a position player and include one of ours in a trade for pitching?

There is a chance that neither would be any good.
