MLB Network: Britton and O'Day ranked in top 10 relief pitchers in MLB

February 5, 2016 Baltimore Orioles relief pitchers Zach Britton and Darren O'Day were ranked fifth and ninth on MLB Network's Top 10 Relief Pitchers Right Now! program last night. Britton finished one spot ahead of the Pittsburgh Pirates? Mark Melancon, and one spot behind the New York Yankees? Andrew Miller. O'Day finished one spot ahead of the Boston Red Sox's Craig Kimbrel, and one spot behind the Pirates' Tony Watson.

Taking into account a number of offensive and defensive metrics, both advanced and traditional, plus projections for the upcoming season, MLB Network's Top 10 Right Now! series ranks the top players at each position heading into the 2016 season. That is certainly a defensible list. We're very lucky to have two guys who are on it. Makes life a lot less aggravating when your closer and set-up guy are doing their jobs well.

Especially when your two main guys are low drama guys, that don't like to fill up the bases first.

I can remember Earl and his uclers, saying, he would just once like to have a 1-2-3 ninth and quiet decision.

I just hope we aren't expecting too much from the guy.

Kenley Jansen is a pretty glaring omission from that list. I'd have him on there instead of Watson. Otherwise a good list, Britton and O'day both deserve to be on there.
