Only other real option besides Latos to add pitching depth is a trade where we give up even more promising prospects. Make the deal. $1mil should do the trick. If he resists, ask him -- do you want to pitch in the MLB or not, dude?

It's time to sign Latos. I've gotta think he's better than either Ubaldo or Wright. Worley's hurt. At the very least he could be a serviceable long man. Send Wright down to AAA for more seasoning.
If Latos would sign MiL contract sure. Can't hurt.

Why a million dollars? Why not the prorated portion of the league minimum. He gets $3 million total either way, right? Don't the White Sox pay him the difference between what he signs for and the money left on his $3 million contract with them?
