They made the playoffs and had a winning record. So yes, it was successful, considering the alternative is less than 82 wins and 4th place and out of contention by the ASG.

Yes. 5th straight season of winning baseball. Playoffs in 3 of 5 years. Being in the thick of a thrilling september playoff chase where every game mattered.

It doesn't really matter how it makes us feel.

It matters to me. I watch baseball for pleasure, entertainment. If the season gives me pleasure then it's successful. I enjoyed this season. It wasn't perfect, but things don't have to be perfect for me to enjoy them.
