Buck has kind of said that he wants guys who don't win the 5th starter spot to go to Norfolk and start every 5th day, rather than be short relievers in the bullpen.

He listed guys like Ynoa,Wilson, Wright, and Lee as 5th starter candidates, along with Aquino.

He listed guys like Verrett and Nuno as long reliever candidates, along with Aquino.  Aquino was the only guy who made both lists.

So I take that to mean that Ynoa, Wilson, Wright, and Lee will all start the year in Norfolk's rotation, and one will come up to start when we need a #5 (unless it's Aquino, then none of them will come up).

Of course Wade Miley hasn't seen game action in about 11 or 12 days and its getting quite close to opening day, so maybe we'll need a 4th AND a 5th starter.  That could muddy the water.   Let's see if he can go 4+ tomorrow....

I like Ynoa for the temporary 5th starter spot. 

He's looked good this spring.  Has a 1.98 ERA over 13.2 IP, with a 1.02 WHIP.  And he is yet to let up a home run.

Give the kid a shot.
