Hahaha. I was just about to comment that commercial used to annoy me to no end, but now I laugh because now I know how much she bothers Roy Frickin' Firestone!

@Tony-OH, since this morning I’m getting pop-up ads on my phone (iPhone using Chrome as I always do). It’s only happening to me on OH and you can’t seemingly close the ad. I’ve had to use the “Back” button to get around them, even while writing a comment. I just updated Chrome but they’re still coming. Not sure if it’s a German ad server issue but it’s never happened before (or at least the pop-ups always had a “Close” button). This is how it looks, you can see 20% of the OH screen above it, but clicking there doesn’t close it either. Just FYI.

Thanks for letting my know. Let me know if you see it again tomorrow. Sometimes these bad ads go away on their own.

It’s still here today. It almost seems time-based, as it will pop up when I’m watching a video or reading a paragraph (rather than clicking through or scrolling).

Is it still just the "german ad?" I haven't heard from anyone else or seen this issue myself so it might be something on your computer or an extension in chrome interacting with the google ads.

Either way, send me the URL it takes you to and I can try and block it.

I finally did it!

 Frobby after reading your article and the time you put into the research (as usual) two things happened.  After years of being lazy and not subscribing / supporting Tony and the Hangout folks I finally and immediately subscribed.  Second, either John Angelos is completely 1) clueless 2) believes he can negotiate like dad 3) trying to prove something to dad or 4) all of the above.  I go for 4.
