Rickard beats Davis at slugging pct. And he ain't even a slugger. Faster, better fielder, higher batting avg. Rickard has more HR/AB than Davis or Trumbo. And he's 200M cheaper. Maybe management will do themath one day...

You mean defensively?

Look, I'm happy that Rickard has made the most of his talent but he's not a starting OF at the major league level.  Or shouldn't be.  He's hit a few home runs in limited at bats but his numbers aren't even close to Trumbo.  And shouldn't be close to Davis.  (well, they're not, they're much better but you get the point)

We need to see Mullins and Hays and Stewart and not have them bog down in the minor league system where they start getting worse.  It's happened before.  Clear the room and let them take their lumps at the big league level.  It's time.

If Hays hadn't gotten hurt and then slumped horribly in Bowie before getting hurt again, he could of been here.

Mullins and Stewart need to play every day. They won't with Jones still here and Buck in favor of Mancini/Valencia/Trumbo.

Hence, the room must be cleared for them first.  See if they can trade Trumbo, put Mancini at 1B/DH, see if they can trade Valencia, get rid of Rasmus, and there you go.

PHILLIES ANNOUNCERS: ll Joey Rickard had barely finished putting his uniform on when he was inserted into the game in the bottom of the 6th inning. On the very first pitch that David Hess threw, Rickard made a great, diving catch in the gap to prevent a lead-off triple.
