Loogy

AAA stats

Vs lefties - 1.69 ERA, 16 IP, 14 H,  4 BB , 18 SO, .226 avg. 1.13 WHIP

Vs righties - 5,22 ERA, 29.1 IP, 25 H, 16 BB, 21 SO, 238 avg, 1.40 WNIP

Exactly and no loogy is a top 10 prospect.

I said around our top 10. Which isn't a tough accomplishment. You could take #12-30 and just pull names out of a hat.

Well, to put it into context, Tony has Donnie Hart at no. 24, and he's on the major league roster after a very successful 2016 debut.   If Faulkner's upside is successful LOOGY, he plainly ranks below Hart.

Thank you sir, my point. All about ceilings.

He has 2 options remaining.  Roster resource is fast and good with the options.

AAA has essentially become a pitching staff of other teams' 40 man roster crunch casualties.

DD is working it.  Faulkner is probably around our top 10 prospects.

I like DD's approach to the minors.

Rookie ball, low & high-A, and AA are for development.  Some older prospects who are currently not needed/blocked go to AAA, but AAA is used as major league depth to a large degree.

In the majors, yes.  But he has averaged 8.1 K/9 in the minors.  He might be a better version of TJ McFarland which has some value since he has an option.

I'm not a huge DD fan but I do like these types of acquisitions.

You can't ever have too much pitching as they say.

Not ready for prime time but he apparently is a lefty with a good arm so let's see if he improves at AAA.    Getting crowded at Norfolk.   Someone must go.   My guess.   Zach Stewart released or demoted.

He looked bad last night, but everyone did. Hopefully not a reflection on Chance Cisco.

Wright was terrible, Bleier blah, Verrett walked 4 in 2 innings...

I'd swap out Bradley before losing Stewart.
