That should be his last start in an Oriole uniform.  We can expand rosters and use the extra relievers to work through a start or add someone like Gonzo or Chacin as a 6th starter if it doesn't cost us much in prospects.  I would keep Castro in the pen as him going 3 or 4 innings twice a week would be more beneficial IMO then starting 1 game ever week.

Watching Buck after the game it's very easy to see how his affinity for Ubaldo. Something the man of the corn talks about, Buck loves his guys, perhaps to the detriment of the team at times. He really has a soft spot for Ubaldo, he looked emotionally bothered by the lack of fortune on one swing.

Castro had an out played into a double. Bundy had two errors made behind him. You have to get the next guy.

They need to shut Ubaldo down or put him in the pen and let some future pitchers show us what they have....Asher and Castro seem to be decent candidates. They MIGHT show us something for next year,Ubaldo is not part of our future.

Exact same assessment of Tillman.  Either of them starting the rest of the season is an admission that this organization is not as much about winning as they proclaim.

I can see replacing one with a pick-up from a trade like M-Gon (after an apology from us of course), but what has a better chance of succeeding: finding someone for the second replacement or going back to a five-man rotation?

The only internal options are Jayson Aquino, Mike Wright or Tyler Wilson at Norfolk or David Hess or Lucas Long at Bowie.   And I would be willing to try any or a combination of them rather than Tillman or Ubaldo.

Ubaldo has totally lost the benefit of the doubt.

He is one of the worst pitchers in baseball and has been for some time.

Enough is enough.
