Hays walked off under his own power, so obviously not as serious as Moran.

And it wasn't that long ago that a foul ball hit the ground and bounced back to hit Smith in the head. Not sure where (eye or cheek). Wasn't that just weeks ago?

It was earlier this season. Didn't come directly off the bat into the head though.

I don't now, I recall it.

I was at a Nats game last year when that happened to Hunter Pence.   A visible knot formed on his head.   He stayed in the game.

I think Smith stayed in the game initially, too, but left it at some point later?
