I would have loved Dyson at 2/7.5M for the Orioles.

Perhaps Dyson knows the Orioles have OF depth and being in the NL leads to more playing time for extra OF types. No risk deal for Arizona.

I will also speculate that the Orioles are trying to sign a 1 year deal only.

That is a steal for the dbacks. We shoulda been all over that deal. I still like Jay. Better OBP.  Isn’t just some slap hitter. Remember OPACY has a pretty small OF, not a lot of square feet out there for singles to land.

Sure. There is a ton of uncertainty with this franchise. Who knows how much the Orioles would have to offer for him to sign here. In general at this stage in his career I understand the appeal of being in the NL.
