Aside from my prior answer I think it was Tillman was looking for a ML deal and it took that long for the O's to crack and give him one.

I don't think the Union would be OK with something that circumvents the sanctity of a guaranteed contract. 

I just don't think what you are suggesting is a realistic option.

I think the O's blinked and gave him a normal guaranteed contract with a bunch of incentives and a fairly low base.

Didn't he basically filibuster the team? He set up shop at their ST facility and didn't leave until they gave him a contract.

I don't see Tillman ever getting cut no matter how many stinkers he throws in ST. I think Tillman is the number 4 in the rotation.

Mesa seems most likely to be sent back, with Rasmus taking his 40/25 spot.

I think Susac gets DFA'ed at the very end to try and slip him thru and Valencia takes his spot on the 40.

Depending how they feel about Ynoa, they might 60 day him for Gentry.

Or Davis, depending on how his arm feels.

Vielma might get optioned and DFA'ed too at the end, if they need space for someone.

They wont, what Ive seen of Susac, he isnt a major league catcher and he is only here to provide enough catchers for ST.
