Miranda pitched to an 89 ERA+.   His FIP was higher than Miley’s.    The trade didn’t work out for us, but at least we didn’t give up a guy who had long term value, as was feared initially when Miranda got some good early results.

What people are forgetting is that the O's would have screwed up both Miranda and Bridwell. So their stats with the M's and Angels just don't apply.

This is why it was a bad trade.  The Orioles paid Miley $10M when they could have got similar results from Miranda for a fraction of the cost.
