Not desperation at all.  Celebrating our history.  When I was a kid I read everything I could get my hands on for players that came before my heroes Brooks, Frank, Jim et al.  

I sure hope the kids following the Orioles today take advantage of learning all they can about Brooks and if they have the chance to meet him.

For the next few years it seems all the Orioles will have is1960-1985. I've never seen a franchise market their star players more poorly and its about time.

It's a reference to Cal's snarky Sorry Brooks, after saying Beltre was the better 3B. After that Cal was dead to me.
