As I've suggested on other occasions, just put him in the pen. Don't even think about letting him hit. If he doesn't like it, he can retire.

I don't know if contracts specify what position(s) a player will play. Actors contracts do specify which character(s) they will play. Would be interesting to know.

It kind of is, but I can practically guarantee if he pitched 40 innings in the bullpen in 2018 and didn't hit or play in the field at all, the team would have been much better off.
