I would probably go with Dwight Smith second. It’s not going to make a big difference one way or the other, and now Smith is hurt.

I think it would make a slight difference because our lineup is full of holes so having Mancini up with men on base is key. When he bats second, the odds of anyone other than Villar on base is low.

That looks like a Buck Sunday lineup to me but maybe a bit worse.

The White Sox look as bad as we do.  And the starter tonight hasn't started since 2014 and has over 6 walks per 9 innings.  Seems like a game that the team has a fair chance of winning.

Maybe they’re treating it like a bullpen game, or using him as an “opener.”    He’s subbing for Lucas Giolito, who strained his hamstring in his last start.   He did throw three scoreless innings of long relief in his last appearance.

Not sure why Davis is sitting honestly. Maybe a matchup thing.
