Pitchers can't hit. Bunts are stupid. Steals are usually ineffective. And Defensive metrics which are a big part of the different flavors of WAR are defective.

That is pretty good for the general population.  Most 50-year-olds sitting behind their work computer typing on the Hangout couldn't hit .130 and might strike out over 50% of the time.

Just once I'd like to see a reality show called "play major league baseball".  You couldn't get actual major leaguers to participate, the teams are way too risk-averse.  But free agents, guys from indy leagues who got six innings with the Brewers in 2015.  That would be good enough.  They'd play games against random pickup teams, church softball teams, celebrities, etc.  The show would only last three episodes because the games would be 88-0.

Considering his 2018 starting point, it’s not too surprising.    But, still welcome.
