Nobody thinks Wright is Arrieta 2.0.   Nobody has ever thought they were comparable talents.   Not even Brady.   Consider him a sacrificial lamb who is eating innings while we patiently develop guys in the minors who will be better if developed correctly.

Don’t you need to get people out in order to eat innings?  How many innings has he eaten over his last two outings?

And he has been below replacement level every season of his career. Shouldn't be too hard to get someone better.

I’m not sure whether whoever we get to replace him would actually end up better or worse.  I just want them to TRY!  Give anyone else a chance.  

He has proven, over an extremely large sample size, that he is not an effective major league pitcher.  How much more evidence is needed?

I agree. Even if his replacement was just as bad it would be trying something else.
