Well it's pretty clear to see what Elias is doing here.  Draft a ton of SS / CF and figure you can always move them to other positions if needed.  Seems like a valid strategy.

Yeah, the 11+ round limit is $125k, so this could get someone to $350k. We'll see if they draft anyone interesting with 11.1 or draft any more seniors with their 8-10 picks.

Draft ends today after round 10, so they will have all evening to work the phones for the perfect pick at the right price at 11-1.

The defensive metrics revolution has led GM's to put a lot more value on brilliant defensive center fielders who are suspect with the bat (e.g. Kevin Pillar, Kevin Keirmaier).  I think that's what Elias is looking for here (and with the earlier pick from LSU).
