While I respect Hyde, I think he was being a little gracious.
Sisco's percentiles according to statcast in 2019:
Pop time to 2B: 2.10 (9th percentile)
Framing: (7th percentile)
MPH: 79.1 MPH (23rd percentile)
Add in that he's not a good tagger at plays on the plate, and his game awareness is below average, and I'm not sure we're looking at a guy who is starting from "average". Can he improve? Sure. How much? Probably not enough to be an everyday catcher in the big leagues unles
How is the extra hitter just "a possibility" for the WC roster?
If you can't get through 3 (at most) games with 12 pitchers, you're either doing something wrong or you desperately need to spend heavily on adding better pitchers in the offseason.
While not seeing regulars after last night’s home game advantage clincher, I still enjoyed seeing how Urías and Mounty were coming along, how well Cano and Cionel bounced back, how Holliday would look at short, and whether Kjerstad was back. Still am amazed to see Rivera keeping it up, surprised and happy to see O’Hearn’s bat heating back up just in time. Kyle Farmer’s eephus pitches totally caught me off guard, so odd looking.
Fun game to see in person, and really enjoyed the stadium.
Bautista would have been eligible for arbitration after this season, but the Orioles signed him to a two year/$2 million contract before this season. He does get a year of service time for this season.
