Where’s the call-ups?

I honestly have no idea what s Blach is doing in the major leagues.   His ERA was over 12 in August.    That warrants a promotion?

Obviously performance isn't the only criteria being used.

And I’m fine with there being other criteria.   But I can’t imagine what other criteria would outweigh that kind of performance.    Maybe they pitch him in game 1 just to eat a few innings and then jettison him.

What pitchers on the 40 didn't get called up?

A new rule should be that first time September call ups don't start their service clock.

That sounds like a workable compromise but I don't think either side would push for it.  I expect all this time spent manipulating service clocks will end up being for naught come the next CBA.

Thank Goodness.  I had wanted to get the Homerun allowed record far enough out that no one could reach it.  With Hess that might just happen.

They’re sort of “doing away” with September callups next year, so it may not be necessary.
