It's not surprising that the draft is looking different than many mock boards due to the lack of 2020 data to go off of due to the lack of games to evaluate.
Elias is clearly not afraid to go with a guy with one plus plus tool (power) which is a bit surprising for the #2 overall pick. His hit tool is probably plus as well, but the K-BB ratio prior to his short junior year makes him a bit of question mark when he has to face professional pitching on a nightly basis.
Elias and his guys h
Not sure where @scarey1999 is getting his information but Liranzo is still listed on the FCL roster and Eric_Birdland on X who goes to a lot of FCL games and gets some decent information had video of Liranzo practicing a month ago and last week said he’d be back soon.
This offensive approach is as bad as the hey day of Buck's swing for the fences with every swing and damn OBP. Are hitters told to forget everything they learned when they get to Baltimore? Just really disappointed in an offense that is HR and not much else. Maybe it worked early in the year but pitchers have figured O's hitters out. Don't groove the 1st pitch and keep throwing stuff off the plate and low or high.
Could he get the PRP route. Would that entail 2 months of recovery? Looks like the O's will be lucky to get Means back before the All Star break in the best case, imo.
Cedric only had 4 years and 78 days at the beginning of the years. I would talk to him and tell him the O's would send him to Norfolk for a max of 30 days to get himself right offensively. It won't effect his years of service time. He would have 5+ years service at end of year.
Not Tony, but he’s going to start out on one of the DSL teams again. Was hoping maybe he’d start at FCL. Maybe he lights up DSL and only has a short stay in the Dominican?
