Santander is back!

I was starting to get a little worried.

Hopefully Dwight Smith, Jr. is okay physically, but unlike Santander, I don't particularly care if he is not on the roster.

Yes!  Hopefully he can get into game shape and start in right field come July 24.

The good news is, if he's on the field today, he's not seriously ill.

Great news. Was pretty intrigued to see how he followed up his mostly solid 2019. Not sure we will learn much from 60 games, but still looking forward to seeing him play.

No matter how rusty or gimpy, he couldn't do worse than April Davis, right?

Santander will have one of the most significant seasons of any Oriole this year. If he duplicates or improves on his ‘19, he becomes a legitimate meaningful part of the future, and If he doesn’t, he’s just a placeholder for Diaz or some other TBA. Most of the other guys are just placeholders, even if they do well this season. Ok, mediocre, or awful, they are just warm bodies for the moment. Santander is different.

I’m glad Santander is back, and I hope he stays.

High hopes for a player who has only been on the field 60-70% of the time hes been here.  The best ability is dependability.

Happy to hear he's back.  He became one of my favorite players to watch last season.  I'm hoping he's on our next playoff team.

Santander can be a good player for us moving forward.  I hope he's all healthy and ready to go.  If he can match what he did last year from a rate perspective that'd be good.

“Tony looked good yesterday,” he said. “He took some batting practice. We did some light outfield stuff. Pretty light workout.
