What does it matter?  Elias can just claim some guys off the waiver wire and fix them.  They don't need the guys at Bowie.

We’re not seeing anymore “prospects” called up until whenever next year’s arb and super 2 deadlines are.  It’s good to know that DJ thinks we have good dudes, but what is he really supposed to say?

What are you so mad about?   Elias held Mountcastle and Akin back and when they did arrive they look like studs.  Maybe, just maybe, Elias knows what he is doing.

What else is Stewart going to say?  It's nice he's talking up the guys down there but it's meaningless.

And it's hilarious how every piece of off the scrap heap pitching that gets grabbed to eat some non-competitive innings is ripe for a turn around under the Elias Pitching System TM.

He does not have to say anything.  He volunteered that without really being asked.

Plus DJ was just down there working with them. So he threw them a shout-out after as soon as he had a chance too. Pretty cool move by DJ. Hopefully, the two homer game gives DJ some confidence the rest of the year. He’s shown the ability to get on base.

I still feel bad for him on that one. Is it worth whatever control time that we’d lose with Kremer, Baumann, etc..., would lose if they came up for anything this year?  I’d say bring them up and give them 1-2 starts, then see how it goes. At least it would give them something to work on in the offseason.

I think it is easier to send pitchers down than it is hitters.  You can always point to an innings crunch as an excuse to send a guy down, even if he is pitching well.

I also thought it was interesting that Mason Williams told Stewart to slow down his swing to hit Gerrit Cole.  That was right before Stewart hit the homer off Cole.
