May 12: The Dark Knight returns to Gotham City (early day game)

Very sad day. I see that once again, the starter was left in too long, he opened an inning, continued To be bad, and then came out.

I realize there’s a lot of nuance involved, But Harvey was struggling from the start. He gave up lots of loud outs and was having lots of deep counts. As Ben said, “he’s throwing lots of strikes but he’s not throwing good strikes.”If Armstrong had started with a clean inning, well, he might not have done very well either, but Hyde should have been proactive instead of reactive, Especially when the offense has made it clear that they are taking the day off and the game is lost anyway.

Does someone think that having Armstrong on the team is helpful either this season or for future  Oriole teams?

If so, who thinks so and why? If not, why is he still on the ML roster? The only reason I can think of is that replacing him with someone who might be more useful would cost some additional money.

The entire team sucks today. How anyone can blame Hyde for this debacle is beyond me. We have scored ZERO runs. Harvey crapped the bed in his return. This team is not very good defensively. Add it up, and you have a very bad team that is playing a very bad game.

I think he’s here because he’s a warm body and there’s no one beating down the door yet. I wonder if he’d be claimed if he were designated, but I also wonder who’d replace him, since Lowther appears to be in the doghouse.
