Why's Austin Wynns always look like he's about to cry?  That, or he's smoked a bunch of weed.

He's very empathic with the pitchers. Never felt that with Sisco and Severino's in his own jolly world.

The game that Tate gave everything he had to close it out, Wynns had that look of complete sympathy as he came out to congratulate him and Tate put his weary head down on his catcher's chest. Remarkable moment that MLB.com took out of its highlights clip.

And then he got absolutely blasted for the rest of his career.

We were talking about debuts. Everyone knows what eventually happened. Otherwise he'd still be on the team.

3 in a row.  We've had several 3 game win streaks this year, but we've failed to get to 4 so far.

See if Meansie can get us over the hump tomorrow.

After we swept Houston in Houston (outscoring them 27-12), almost went four straight in that game against the Angels that we lost in the 9th. Lost the third game of that series in the 9th, too.

Best stretch was winning 5 of 6 June 1st-8th.

Watkins debut has gone comparably to Wright’s. Wright had two splendid starts and Then flatlined the rest of the way. Watkins has two additional innings, 16 innings three and runs, 13 strikeouts and eight walks.

But Watkins has done it without a blazing fast ball.

But my point in mentioning Wright was not a direct comparison. It was just to mention another guy who got off to a promising start and then failed, but Watkins has been better at throwing quality strikes, even though his fastball neither dances nor dashes. Wright threw 97-98, But it never seemed to matter. I have higher hope for Watkins.
