He was hitting the ball hard without results prior to his abdominal injury.  But the last two days he has not looked comfortable.   May be a case of him rushing back before he’s ready because the team is so banged up.

That seems quite probable, agreed. They needed his bat but def looks less than 100%.

So Hays hopes tomorrow to do more baseball activities. Doesn't say he hopes to be in the lineup tomorrow or maybe he means that.  If he can't go for a few more days,who gets brought up next? Adley would be the logical choose because he can play 1b and DH and on the forty but who knows.

Adley is not on the 40 if that is what you are implying
