Kyle Bradish injury update? (Edit: Foot Contusion)

Has anyone heard anything? I was pretty much off-line today so I'm hoping there was an announcement and that he's okay.. just bruised

Brandon Hyde said the Orioles are keeping all options open for starting pitchers tomorrow. When asked about Grayson Rodriguez, he reiterated all options open. Hyde also said Bradish might require an injured list stint. X-rays were negative, but his push-off foot is very sore.

I would think they make the decision based on how many innings Gibson gives us tonight.  Lyles wasn’t great but when we needed him to give us some length he did just that in some starts early on that saved the pen.  If Gibson can get into the sixth I think Kremer and Voth will get a piggyback type game tomorrow and we reevaluate when he get back home.  If Voth is needed tonight then possibly a starter is brought up for game tomorrow.

I heard right foot contusion on 105.7 this afternoon.

Bradish threw a successful side session yesterday.  Looks like he's going to be good to go when he's eligible to come off the IL on 4/19.  So that's great news.

Gotta think they give him one rehab start first after missing so much unless they think he's ready to go.

Hopefully G-Rod puts pressure on the team with a great start on Tuesday.  If so, could be a tough break for Wells.  I would imagine he would be bullpen bound.

Looks like he will be ready to go as soon as he is eligible. I wouldn't hate a 6-man rotation with Wells being skipped / used in long relief when there are off-days. Hopefully Grayson puts pressure on them to keep him up tomorrow night.

This is such great news.  That injury looked really bad when it happened.  A lucky non break.

It’s going to be really interesting to see how they handle this.  Gibson, Rodriguez   and Kremer should each get two more starts before a decision needs to be made, while Irvin and Wells will get one each.  Right now I think only Gibson is definitely safe.

Seriously…. Kremer was money last year. You really think they are going to bail on him after a few starts?

I think they are committed to Kremer in the rotation. Bradish as well. 

Gibson isn’t going anywhere. So it’s gotta be Irvin or Wells.

I agree …Wells lost outright in the spring and Irvin has not looked good.  The bad thing is Elias traded for him ….so he won’t admit a mistake this early. So I’m betting Wells to the pen.

I don’t think it would be admitting mistake. Irvin is still good  to have on the team for depth.  It’s a long season. 

I just want my best five in the rotation. Irvin is your prototypical fifth starter type.  Wells has the potential to be better then that.

Isn’t Irvin the only lefty of the six? That might play into to their thinking. I think Wells to the pen for a while, but that could change if Irvin struggles and Wells continues to look good.
