Mancini DFA'd

In order to make room for trade acquisition Jeimer Candelario, the Cubs have designated Trey Mancini for assignment.

I don't see the Orioles having a place for Mancini, but I hope he finds a home somewhere.

Some people age fast in baseball but after he came back pretty strong after his cancer I thought he would stick around a while.  His skills seem to really crash after we traded him to Houston.  I would of never expected that.  

Hope he does catch on somewhere.  Maybe a stint in AAA would get his bat back.

He started the season pretty slow but not too bad and then had a terrible June and July.  He's been OK against lefties though not great.  Hopefully some struggling team that's could use a right handed DH type will give him a shot.  Hard to believe his skills are completely gone this fast.
