Jays have as much capability as anyone to get hot in September/October. I’m more concerned with a hot Toronto than Seattle.

I am interested in why you feel this way. I happen to disagree with you but I'm hoping you will share your thoughts on why you feel Seattle is more dangerous. Is it match ups or do you feel they are the better team?

About the only interesting thing left in the A's season is how bad they wind up.   Since the schedule went to 162 games in the early 60s, only four teams have failed to win 51 games:

1962 Mets 40-120
2003 Tigers 43-119
2018 Orioles 47-115
2019 Tigers 47-114

The A's are 34-90.   They would have go to 17-21 to get to 51, that seems unlikely.   So it looks like they will be added to that list.  The only question is where they fall on the list when all is said and done.

On pace for 44 wins, second worst of all time.  Worst is not out of reach.  That’s one of the worst defensive teams I’ve ever laid eyes on.  Far worse than the worst Orioles teams.

I’m going with 45 wins. Can’t believe how bad the 2003 Tigers were. And of course we got swept by them at home. Classic ‘00s Orioles.

Since we swept them, the A's have gone 8-5, and in fact just swept the Angels.

They are now 42-95, so they have surpassed the 1962 Mets win total, and are just 1 shy of the 2003 Tigers.
