I think Ryan O'Hearn played some outstanding defensive 1st base tonight. I really feel that he should be given more credit for his role in supporting Grayson on the mound along with his other teammates on defense.

O'hearn scooped some throws in the dirt to convert them into outs, he was quick on his feet and made a couple of outstanding snags and nearly got a single handed double play.

I think Ryan O'Hearn deserves alot of credit for his contributions on defense tonight in game 3, as well as his consistent offensive production.

He did well tonight. He did botch the rundown last night.

And oddly, Houston has just dropped two in a row to the… Royals… after dropping two of three to the… As.

I thought good teams never lost a series to a bad team.

it’s a shame the O’s and Rays are in the same division.   Though kind of fun to watch them duke it out.

100% he played a great game. I don’t want to take anything away from ROH’s contributions on defense but I do expect a major league 1B to make those scoop plays though. They were one hops that didn’t catch him in between or short hop him. Good plays by ROH, yes but I do expect him to make them.

Now, the other plays are a different story. He did make some REALLY good defensive plays last night which the broadcast team gave him a lot of love for making.

At the very least he's going to get a nice raise for next year.

So, according to BR, he is arb eligible 2024 and a FA in 2025. Mountcastle is also Arb eligible 2024 but not a FA until 2027.

Interesting that 1B will get more expensive as both guys are playing reasonably well and are arb eligible in 2024.

This final game getting played today? Weather ain't looking promising

I imagine they will do absolutely everything possible to get it in. The game is critically important in the division race. The Os only have one off day remaining in a week. The Rays do have that day off but it’s between a day game at the Trop (Toronto) and Tuesday night game at the Trop (Boston). It would be easier to get in at least a shortened game if it started a bit earlier based on simulated radar.
