After Frazier last season and the lack of moves in the offseason to clear the glut this is hardly a surprise even if I do find it disappointing. 

I don't think the best 26 will be going North.

Exactly what I expected to happen.  Not what I wanted and certainly not what I'd have done, but it's what I expected to happen.  We are not putting the best team on the MLB roster, and that's sad.

The best 26 will not be on the OD roster, what else is new. This is the Orioles after all. I guess Holiday can get more ABs against LH at Norfolk and Mayo can continue to work on his defense?

Are we really going to start Wong at 2B?

Btw, kudos to all you posters who refused to believe that Holiday would not be on the OD roster! I thought he would, guess I was wrong about that.

I honestly don't know how that man stays employed.  To my eyes he's below average in every aspect of the game.

That's the thing that makes this so weird. If he comes up in a few weeks and ends up top-2 for ROY they don't get the extra year anyway...nor do they get a pick if he wins it now.

I assume they want Holliday to get more work in at second-base in actual game situations, etc etc. 

 

Its annoying, but I look forward to a massive sell-out crowd on a random Tuesday when he make his debut.

I don’t understand why anyone thought Holliday was making the team after yesterday’s game.  You don’t play a starter in a reserve roll at the end of spring training…..and they would have given him more reps at 2nd with Gunnar.
