WSN, 2-2 vs. BOS, 1-2 at NYM, 1-1 vs. HOU. 45 runs allowed isn’t amazing or anything, but it’s the fewest the team has allowed since games 61-70. Boy it doesn’t feel like 5-5 the last 10 games but I will take it. I will take 500 the rest of the way if we get healthy by the end of the season.

And from the game thread from last night (which I just read for amusement), you’d think they were 0-20. But in fact, the team hasn’t lost more than two in a row in nearly a month. They just haven’t won more than two in a row, either. This team has played mediocre baseball for the last two months, but let’s not confuse mediocre with terrible. We Orioles fans ought to remember what terrible baseball looks like. Edited August 24 by Frobby

I know the games are in the books, but just winning 1 of the Mets walk off games would have created a different feel from the last 10. Hopefully they can stay afloat until some of the injured get back.
now
I don't really buy the injured cavalry narrative. We don't really know if or when some of these guys are coming back or how they'll perform. Plus, we don't know who else will replace them on the injured list. Mountcastle, Mullins and Rutschman already not full strength, for starters...
