Every team goes through slumps... As someone else pointed out, the '83 O's had two eight game losing streaks during their season....

 

I think what is really shocking everyone is that there seems to be too much talent on this team to slump this badly for this long....

We keep saying that every team goes through slumps but last year's team did nothing like what we're seeing over the last month+. 

For me it's approaching bizarre territory where it feels like there's a reason for it somewhere. Might not be any particular reason at all, but it feels like it. It's objectively weird IMO precisely because it's not just an offensive slump, it's a defensive and baseball IQ slump. That kind of thing just doesn't happen that much over such a large sample.

Yes.

Occasionally a team doesn't go through a slump.  They might even set a record for longest streak without getting swept in the process.
