Just home now, was listening on the radio while driving.   Could this be a shutout if we had gotten good infield defense?   Kind of sounds that way from what I heard on the radio, but a quick glance at the game thread seems like the judgement on Rogers is pretty harsh.

Have to relate the latest Melanie Newman silliness:   when the ball ticked off Holliday's glove for a hit, she started going on about how it would have been a much easier play if he wore his glove on his right hand.   The other announcer (Ben Wagner) was obligated to mention what was obvious to everyone but Melanie -- that no one has seen a lefthanded throwing second baseman above little league.

Yes. That said too many runners again. Holliday had hard play but was make-able.

You just like to argue sarcastically don't you?  Bored?

Sometimes people/fans can say things and actually be correct about their analysis without their constructive criticism being completely disregarded because they are not sports writers or part of the organization.

But you do you and keep drinking the kool aid.

Well if you were correct, that’d be one thing.

In case you haven’t noticed, no one here is a sportswriter or part of the organization.

You’ve gotta be able to back up your opinions with evidence, or else it doesn’t really mean much.

No kool aid here bro, just your tears.

That was….um….ugly.  Shesh.

Tonys right.  What is the out pitch?  The change looked nice.  Butternut in on a couple of those.  The Fastball At 93 is not good and he’s not commanding it either.  The slider looks below avg.  what’s his best pitch?

The changeup for sure.

So Spilly on MLB networked dropped this nugget….

Fastest guy in MLb = Witt @ 30.4 ft/sec

Fastest guy in Olympics = 40.8 ft/sec

(apologize can’t remember name)

But damn!!! How crazy is that??

You put Witt in the blocks and I bet he could reach 30.8 easy.  😉

Here come the usual suspects in game threads who constantly declare that the sky is about to fall, the game is lost, the season is lost, etc., at the first sign of adversity.

Occasionally they are right, although the Orioles have one of the highest winning % in all of MLB so it isn't that often.

The sky has already fallen my guy.
