Adley has been hitting well when he DHs.   But when Jimenez joined the team he took many of Adley's DH at bats.    Just sayin'.

Gotta be something going on with Adley that he's trying to play through. There was some word about back trouble a few days ago.

A 119 OPS+ as a rookie constitutes mediocre results now?

I just get tired of looking at strikeout after strikeout.  On those occasions where he makes contact, he does do some damage.  He is very valuable for his glove.

Cowser is hitting good, especially for a plus defender. Mountcastle is the one that I thought of. His expected results are always much better than his actual results.

I think there are a lot of people who don't realize what average MLB offenses look like this year.

I share some of the frustrations with people here......but context is important.

We still have the #3 ranked offense in MLB in runs scored.  We are extremely close to NYY (at 2) and we were ahead of them for most of the year until we started the summer implosion.

Now in August to be fair we are at #9 overall so far.  But that is still above average.   If you just look at "post All Star Break" we are #4.   So we are still doing alright overall even recently while I agree that certain individual players are definitely underperforming.

Our 14th overall ERA on the other hand.............
