The offensive approach has been a problem all year in my opinion. Far before the injuries. We have been over reliant on the long ball. We masked the issue by leading the league in homers by a long shot. We have struggled to produce extended rallies, and with situational hitting, all season. Was somewhat predictable that if the homers cooled off, which they inevitably would, that we would struggle to score.
