I agree with this to an extent.

Its not how many pitches you throw, but how many pitches you throw once you are tired that is what causes injuries, IMO. Some days you tire after 80, sometimes you can throw 120 without tiring. There is no magic number, gotta judge each situation.

Right. Matusz had lost a few ticks on his fastball and obviously Tuesday night had to be fresh in DT mind as well. There were already guys up to start the inning so that tells me DT felt Matusz was near the end of the line when he went back out there. There was also probably a talk between DT or Kranitz and Matusz in the top of the 7th to find out how he felt.
