No, I don’t think he’s got any fantasies about Cal’s record. Might he play all 162 this year? I’m sure it could happen, but if I were Hyde I’d prefer to give him a day off every month or so once the weather heats up. -
He can probably do some back to backs, but not 3 in 4 days. If he goes back to back, he needs at least 2 days off.

It kind of got overshadowed by Irvin’s pitching and O’Hearn’s homer, but Adley’s double to break the scoreless tie was just a very professional Adley at bat. He knew his job was to get a deep enough fly ball to get Mateo home, and that’s exactly what he did. It just happened to land in the right spot for a double, but the run was going to score either way. I have the utmost confidence in Adley in a spot like that.

Do you think Gunnar us going to try and play 162 games? Do you think Cal's record ever crossed his mind? I am sure it did since I see them both in that commercial. -

The Orioles were able to close out wins this week without him, so hopefully it convinces Hyde to not just go to Kimbrel by default when it's a save opportunity. Avoiding back to back appearances needs to be a priority.
