For me, the Maier catch. I really thought that was our year. Everything may have turned out differently if we go on to win the World Series that year. Maybe we keep Mussina, etc.

For my father, the 79 Series. He LOVED that team. And to get so close was devastating. I mean, I don't think he'll ever get over it. I'm over Maier.

I agree with all of the above. I think the crow that pecked my eye out happened in 2005 during the first home game series vs. the Red Sox when went to Camden and 75% of the fans there were Red Sox fakers. I never was the same again.

Two things.

First, the Mother's Day Massacre. But I have since gotten over this. But the way that the O's sent Boston packing last year, was a million times worse than the massacre.

2nd, that Maier kid. And then he really wanted a job in the O's office.
