Brings me to one of my pet peeves about college basketball. I despise the 35 sec shot clock. 35 sec is entirely too long. Just going to 30 will make a big difference. If they actually went down to 25. Wow.

I agree.

It's still exciting toward the end of the game if it's close, but a game that fails to reach 120 combined point is generally not good basketball or that entertaining imo.

Of course the shot clock is not the only reason for that. I'm guessing scoring is down this year compared to past years when they obviously still had the 35 second shot clock.

St. Louis has hung around in this game for 2 reasons. They've been able to rebound with MSU (very tough to do), and they've managed to get to the line 21 times.
