I think the hat was a symbol for his general immaturity as a player.

I assume he'll be in the lineup just about every day until Roberts comes back... and that could be indefinitely. I like what I'm seeing from Andino so far, though.

Even if Roberts is able to come back, which I doubt, there's no way he'll be able to play on Andino's level. Roberts may be able to hit a little more, but he'd be a mess in the field. Not that I'm implying you disagree. Just some speculation on my part.
