He is terrible against AL pitching. And he has a .750 OPS againt LHP (Price, Romero, Andy P, CC, Lester, ect)

Yeah I mean he's a definite upgrade over Reynolds at 1B and a decent enough player, but he's no middle of the order bat. I'm struggling to figure out if DD means he's looking for a bat to simply replace Reynolds or if he wants a big bat in addition to someone replacing Reynolds. I guess we'll find out.

I'm just talking about from a hitting perspective. Not positional. If you remember DD said he wants a middle of the order bat and he doesn't care what position it is (LF, 1B or DH)

Just to clarify, I think LaRoche is a very good #5 hitter for this club. But would be used in a 4 hole I'm sure.

Apparently their pitchers are composed differently as well. Maybe they aren't human, just genetic mutations.
