Bud's keeping us in it. Definite upgrade over Hammel.

Hammel generally kept the team in the ball game for the first 4-5 innings.

So far in July Lyles has allowed 19 runs in 22 innings (7.77 ERA) and has a WHIP 1.77 (39 base runners in 22 innings). Meanwhile tonight we have just 2 weak singles in 3 innings and look lost against the same pitcher.

This is why we aren't at least 15 games over .500. Other teams smash the Astros and these types of pitchers. We get shut out.
