I don't think that the new rule about no collisions at home plate is going to go over very well.

Catchers will likely instinctively block the plate before they get the ball (like Ward just did), and runners are not going to give up their right to the basepath/direct path to home plate.

I think that he just choked, and rushed it.

You have to keep your composure there. It's not easy, because so much is at stake with a play at the plate, but you have to come through at those times.

I wonder of they practice those plays a lot in spring training?
